Opening spaces for women in agribusiness and other scientific areas is necessary to transform the reality experienced by 992 thousand Mexican women who are underrepresented in this sector. Therefore, this type of project must be part of the sector's social responsibility strategies, since it is necessary to give a voice to the female workforce, as well as provide them with the health services necessary for a full life.
With this objective in mind, the Mexican Middle East Mobile Number List sugar industry seeks to accelerate the pace so that more and more women become the engine of growth and sustainable innovation. However, it is necessary to evaluate progress and propose ideas to transform the social context and promote female talent. But it is possible? Of course, below we show you a great example!

To share inspiring and success stories, Grupo Azucarero del Trópico ( GAT )—a leading company in the production and distribution of sugarcane products—participated in the “Working Life of Women in the Sugar Agroindustry” Forum. Through various dialogue tables, attendees, both in person and virtually, were able to learn about the panorama of this sector in terms of progress and goals in gender equality.
This event took place on March 16 and 17 in the vicinity of the National Chamber of the Sugar and Alcohol Industry ( CNIAA ) in Mexico City. And, different personalities gathered, among which stand out:

Women in agribusiness change
During the two days of the forum, these experts were able to share their knowledge and proposals about women in agribusiness. Likewise, different success stories of sugar companies were shown, including the great advances of GAT's La Gloria Mill to benefit the health of the women collaborators of the Mill and those who belong to the surrounding communities.
What can companies do for women?
Among the topics discussed in this forum, there were several proposals that companies in the sugar industry can follow, whose success GAT has already proven through its initiatives and alliances with other institutions. Below, we briefly explain each of them.
1. Take care of women's health
El Ingenio La Gloria of Grupo Azucarero del Trópico has one of the most relevant social responsibility programs in terms of women's health care in the agribusiness, called "October is all year round" to fight breast cancer in Mexico . The objective of this program is to carry out prevention and early detection activities for this condition, as well as support in channeling medical treatments for those who need it.
Initially, the program was intended only for the mill workers, but has expanded to include women from surrounding communities. And, the program is expected to benefit a thousand women. From October 2022 to March 2023, 571 mammograms have been carried out in different communities, serving 413 women from 23 communities, including the municipalities of Úrsulo Galván, Puente Nacional and Actopan in the state of Veracruz.
All this progress has been possible thanks to the collaboration of the Mamotest foundation , which is responsible for performing mammograms. Likewise, community representatives have taken the message to women in the state to participate in the program. Since the program also includes awareness talks regarding breast cancer, with the aim of empathically approaching those women who are afraid of this type of procedures or the results they may obtain.

Thus, GAT not only impacts SDG 3: Health and Wellbeing, as it contributes to the reduction of mortality from non-communicable diseases and guarantees universal access to quality health services and health services, but is also online with SDG 17: Strategic Alliances for the joint work carried out with Mamotest and community representatives to achieve common objectives.
