Mark Zuckerberg's imminent megamerger of social networks is getting closer, and as a further step in this integration it has been announced that the new beta version of WhatsApp (2.19.151) has integrated a new function in which the statuses from WhatsApp can be shared on Facebook, in addition to adding the possibility of adding contacts by scanning QR codes.
WhatsApp statuses can be shared on Facebook as stories
According to what the Wabetainfo portal has reported , the intercon Mexico Mobile Number List nection between the popular instant messaging application and Facebook may be very close. In this beta version, users who have both platforms installed will be able to see that a new “add to Facebook Stories” button will appear next to their WhatsApp statuses , as you can see in the following image:

This button allows you to share WhatsApp statuses, whether images, videos or text, directly to Facebook Stories , as currently happens between Instagram Stories and Facebook.
Facebook begins the merger: WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger will be unified into a single service
With this new function, in addition to making clear the interconnection that all Facebook platforms will soon have, the social media giant will also seek to further enhance its ephemeral content format , a commitment for which it has given everything and which on Instagram has worked perfectly.
One point that needs to be clarified is that the process of sharing WhatsApp statuses on Facebook Stories will not be done automatically: every time you want to share the same stories on both platforms you will have to do it manually using the button.

A new QR code to share your data
In addition to the option to share WhatsApp statuses on Facebook, the new beta version of the instant messaging app has a new button to generate a QR code, with which users can share their profiles and add contacts by scanning their respective codes.

Once you select the option to generate the QR code from your profile, you can copy it and share it with other users to add yourself to the contact list, using only the camera from the WhatsApp app.
However, you have to be careful since this information does not only contain your profile, since WhatsApp, unlike other social networks, works based on your phone number .
On the other hand, this new feature will be very important for WhatsApp Business users as they could easily share their QR codes on their websites and applications and achieve greater and easier interaction with their customers.

WhatsApp is not the first of the Facebook applications to integrate a QR code function to share contact information with other users. LinkedIn has integrated this tool for some time now, and not long ago Instagram launched Nametag, a customizable QR code for users to easily follow their respective accounts.
At the moment it is not clear when the QR code functions and sharing WhatsApp statuses on Facebook will be launched to all users, but it is expected that this deployment will not take long and in the coming months you will be able to use them.
