See, I have no idea on hosting a tournament but I compete in some so I kind of have the idea. If you think any one should be added then tell me.
1. Nice- Don't have your words all over the place, make it neat and make it look interesting or you won't get any entries. Spell-check the post. After that it'll look best.
2. Talk- Once the day of the tournament comes you're gonna have to have everyones details. For instance, lets say a person disconnnected. The host wouldn't know unless she had made a chatbox or Skype. Those situations can't be handled so slow.
3. Unique- If you want your tournament to be legit, make it your owns!! Make it unique. Make it legit!! Make something about it stand out from the others. Make something about it just make people want to sign up. Remember, its your tournament! Do whatever you want with it.
4. Prize- Most tournaments give userbars as prizes etc. If your tournament is big you will have to give a prize. Most people don't have the time for tournaments that take alot of time. Its annoying.
5. Rules- Every tournament has rules. Make sure yours does you need rules. Like for The ultra shortcut on Grumble Volcano. Some people can't make it on the rock if they use the wrong person. Make sure your rules are good and your rules are rules.
6- Help- If you can, its best to have a friend with you to help you host, if something came up or you couldn't come you would have to cancel the tournament but that sucks. Its best to have atleast 1 host friend there with you.
7- Time- You should be there before the time of the tournament adding friend codes with your other host. Tell everyone to show up 5 minutes early. Or even 10. It could save alot of waiting and time.
8- Gather- Once your tournament is complete either close the room or play a few extra rounds. After you're finish you were suppose to write down the results each grand prix. Add the scores up and determine who won.
9- Publish- Post your results in the sub-forum. How'd it go, who won? If you recorded after you post your results publish the video.
